Harley Brook has more than two decades of legal experience. He is running for Hendry County Judge to serve the community with integrity, fairness, and respect for the rule of law.
MEET HARLEY BROOK
For over twenty years, Harley Brook's career in the law and his commitment to public service have prepared him to serve as a fair and impartial judge who understands both the letter of the law and its impact on the community.
Harley Brook has been married for more than 22 years to his wife, Teresa, an experienced schoolteacher. Together, they have two children currently in college. Their son attends the University of Florida in Gainesville, and their daughter attends New York University in New York.
His experience as a husband and father has shaped his understanding of responsibility, accountability, and fairness. These values guide his approach to the law and are central to his belief that every person who enters the courtroom deserves respect and equal treatment.

After earning both his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Florida, Harley Brook began his legal career more than 23 years ago as a criminal prosecutor with the State Attorney’s Office in Fort Myers and later in LaBelle.
He later practiced criminal defense, family law, and civil litigation, gaining experience on all sides of the courtroom. This broad legal background allows him to understand the responsibilities of the State, the rights of defendants, and the real-life challenges faced by families and individuals navigating the legal system.
LEGAL EXPERIENCE
Harley Brook also served as a Traffic Hearing Officer, primarily in Glades County and also in Hendry and Lee Counties. In this role, he presided over thousands of cases over several years.
His time on the bench reinforced the importance of consistency, fairness, and treating every individual with dignity, regardless of the circumstances that brought them before the court.
JUDICIAL EXPERIENCE
Harley Brook believes that the primary responsibility of a judge is to apply the law as written, fairly and impartially.
At the same time, he recognizes that judicial decisions affect real people and real families. His approach is measured, even-handed, and grounded in the belief that justice should always be administered with integrity, respect, and an understanding of its human impact.
